If you only have a day we suggest you walk around the old town. It is full of narrow cobbled streets that are full of boutiques, restaurants and bars. Even though the town is popular with tourists, this is not a museum, locals still live and work here. Don’t be surprised if you walk past old ladies in black mourning dresses. Corfu is a great place to slowly meander. The town has many shops, bars, coffee shops and restaurants, so everyone in your party should be catered for. Near the end of our walk, we found our way down to the harbor. This was not planned as we were walking aimlessly. Seeing the clarity of the water made us want to cool down and jump in. Sadly we did not have our swimsuits so we had to cool down by having an ice-cold beer instead. Oh, how we suffered.
