ABOUT GJIROKASTRA

Our trip starts in the morning by bus in the UNESCO World Heritage town situated in southern Albania, this ‘city of a thousand steps comprises hundreds of ottoman-style tower houses with distinctive stone roofs, wooden balconies and whitewashed stone walls. Gjirokastra Castle it remains unknown when the first fortifications were built but archeologists believe that the place has been inhabited since the 4th to 5th century. The fortress in not only impressive itself,but actually contains some museums and individual sights worth mentioning.At Gjirokatra castle you will visit the artillery gallery,the Gjirokastra museum,american airplane,festival stage,clock tower and enjoying the amazing views over Gjiokastra and the valley of the Drino River,the most breathtaking views you can have in Albania.Included Gjirokastra bazaar,the ethnographic museum and Skeduli house.

VISIT BLUE EYE

Your trip continues to the Blue Eye spring that is situated 1 km far away from Saranda-Gjirokastra roadway.Relaxing in an area around the lake has a very rich flora and fauna where you can find river trout and many wild animals. Somewhere here the journey comes to an end, appreciating and retaining the experience of a newly visited historical place.
